The author, Dave Schaller, is a Chartered Management Accountant who qualified in London. Previously he attended Natal University where he obtained a B.Com. and a Post Graduate Diploma in Management Accounting.
While attending University he surfed, sailed and played underwater hockey for the University, as well as being a founder member of the University Sky-Diving Club.
It was only while back at the University part-time studying at Post Graduate level that he assembled and employed the approach and techniques outlined in this book, and went on to pass Summa Cum Lauda (with honours and top of the class), ahead of a dozen full-time students and several qualified professionals.
He worked in industry as a Management Accountant for nine years, becoming Management Accountant of a multi- billion motor manufacturing company. Of his staff of 27, most were either graduates or studying towards their degrees. It was here that his ideas on how to approach exams were first prepared and presented in lecture format. The material grew into a holistic approach which was understandable and applicable to everyone, and the idea for a book was born.
Dave currently heads up the IT division of a multinational manufacturing company. He still surfs regularly, is an active mountainbike and road cyclist, flies microlight aircraft and rides a Harley.
He's been an active Toastmaster for the last 16 years, having won all the awards in his chapter at some stage along the way. He speaks professionally on the subject of Passing Exams and you can contact him to set up a speaking engagement for your organisation by hitting the 'Contact Us' button in the left panel.
